An unspoiled Oasis Awaits
The isolated Eyre Peninsula. Untouched national parks. Roaming emus and kangaroos, and playful pods of dolphins. Overlooking pristine Port Douglas and Kellidie Bay, Oyster Bay offers it all.
Just a half-hour drive from Port Lincoln and 691km west of Adelaide, the beautiful bay is your serene escape from the everyday.
And when you stay at Bay Bliss, you’re perfectly positioned to explore this unspoiled oasis.
Adventures on the water
Of course, oysters are the main attraction here. But you’ll also see fishing boats and divers offloading their catch of crayfish, abalone, octopus, King George whiting, sea urchins, scallops, sharks and more.
Fancy fishing, sailing, windsurfing or water skiing? Or perhaps a leisurely kayak or paddleboard across the bay floats your boat. Almost every water sport is on offer – and you can swim, snorkel or jump off the jetty.
If you don’t have a boat, there are fishing charters, oyster tours and trips to swim with sea lions. And for the truly adventurous, cage diving with great white sharks!
Explore on land
There’s plenty to see and do around town. Play tennis or basketball – or enjoy a round of golf or bowls at the Sports Club. Take a selfie with a local (a roo or emu, that is). And at the post office, you can send a postcard home and play putt-putt golf.
Feel the warm sand between your toes at nearby Farm Beach, Coles Point or Greenly. And explore Coffin Bay National Park, with over 30,000 hectares of coastal landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Wine and dine
Peckish? All the bay’s best eateries are a short stroll away. There’s Beachcombers for pizza (as well as petrol and souvenirs), the Coffin Bay Yacht Club, and 1802 Oyster Bar & Bistro with delicious dishes and magical views. The “Pub in the Scrub” – Coffin Bay Hotel – is a true-blue local with great grub and entertainment.
You can also fire up a barbie at the recreation park, or pick up essentials at the general store and bottle shop. There are several supermarkets, shops and cafés nearby, too. As well as local produce and craft markets every second Sunday.
Just 30 minutes away in Port Lincoln, you can pick up fresh seafood at The Fresh Fish Place, or dine Italian style at Del Giorno’s. And knock back a cold one at Beer Garden Brewing.
All this and more awaits at Bay Bliss – your haven away from home in Coffin Bay.
